House Rules and Conditions of Stay
A warm welcome to Månefjord!
We are delighted to offer you a relaxing break and an authentic nature experience by our beautiful Limfjord. By completing your booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions for your stay:
1. Booking Agreement and Occupancy
The accommodation agreement is entered into between the guests named in the booking and the hosts of Månefjord.
The accommodation is designed as an exclusive couples’ retreat and may be occupied by a maximum of two (2) adults. Subletting and accommodating additional overnight guests are not permitted.
2. Payment and Cancellation Conditions
- Payment: The full booking amount is due when the booking is completed.
- Cancellation: The stay may be cancelled free of charge up to five days before the official check-in time. In this case, 100% of the booking amount will be refunded.
- No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than five days before check-in.
We generally recommend taking out private travel cancellation insurance.
3. Arrival and Departure
- Check-in: From 3:00 p.m.
- Check-out: No later than 12:00 noon
Please let us know your expected arrival time in advance, as we welcome our guests personally.
Enjoy your morning! With check-out available until 12:00 noon, you have plenty of time to sleep in and enjoy a relaxed breakfast.
Please respect the check-out time for the benefit of our next guests. To maintain our high quality standards, we use a dedicated preparation day for thorough cleaning and preparing the accommodation.
4. Security Deposit and Liability for Damage
- No security deposit: We have deliberately chosen not to request a deposit in advance, as we believe in mutual trust.
- Liability: Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay to the tent, furnishings, brick building or property.
If a small accident happens, such as a broken glass, it is of course not the end of the world. Please simply let us know so that we can arrange a replacement before the next guests arrive.
5. Use of the Accommodation and Safety
The Lotus Belle Stargazer Tent
Please treat the tent, furniture and high-quality textiles – including the wool blankets – with care.
To preserve the clean and cosy atmosphere, we kindly ask you not to enter the tent wearing heavy outdoor shoes. Comfortable slippers in various sizes are available for you at the entrance.
To protect the tent and textiles, and for hygiene reasons, hot meals and pizza may not be eaten inside the tent. Please use your private guest kitchen or the terrace when the weather permits. Small snacks and drinks are, of course, allowed inside the tent.
Wood-Burning Stove and Panoramic Window – Important Safety Information
The wood-burning stove provides pleasant warmth and a cosy atmosphere. However, it must be used at your own risk.
Only the dry firewood provided by us may be used.
Please place only one piece of firewood in the stove at a time. This helps prevent unnecessary smoke from developing inside the tent.
Before leaving the tent and before going to sleep, the stove door must be securely closed.
Very important: For fire-safety reasons, the blackout cover on the large panoramic window may only be closed once the wood-burning stove is completely extinguished and fully cooled down.
The Historic Brick Building
Your private modern bathroom and fully equipped guest kitchen are located in the historic brick building approximately ten metres from the tent. Both facilities are exclusively available to you during your stay.
Please leave the kitchen tidy after use, with the dishes washed and the hob cleaned.
Smoking, E-cigarettes and Vaping
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire Månefjord property. This prohibition applies inside the tent, inside the brick building and in all outdoor areas. It also includes e-cigarettes and vaping.
If the smoking prohibition is violated, the guests will be responsible for all documented costs arising from additional cleaning, odour removal, cleaning or replacement of textiles and any other resulting damage.
By completing the booking, the guests confirm that they have read and accepted the smoking prohibition.
Pets
Pets are not permitted.
6. Månefjord Luxury Breakfast Basket
For an especially relaxing start to the day, you can add our popular Månefjord Luxury Breakfast Basket for 186 DKK. The price covers two people per morning.
The basket will be delivered contact-free to your private guest kitchen on the evening before, allowing you to enjoy the morning entirely at your own pace.
The breakfast basket includes:
- Fresh eggs for preparing on the hob
- Bake-at-home bread rolls
- A selection of cold cuts and cheese, arranged on a separate platter
- Jam in a glass jar
7. Romantic Comfort Package
You can make your stay even more romantic with our Romantic Comfort Package for 450 DKK per stay.
The package can be added during the booking process and will be waiting for you in the tent when you arrive.
The package includes:
- One bottle of Freixenet Cava
- A small selection of pralines
- Heart-shaped LED lights
- Romantic rose petals
- A handwritten card with a personal message
The package creates a romantic welcome and is perfect for a birthday, anniversary, surprise or a relaxing romantic break for two.
